Last month, we were honored to welcome an incredible group of industry partners to speak with our students about careers in construction and manufacturing. Our students heard firsthand what it takes to succeed in framing, plumbing, electrical, CNC machining, machine operation, welding and more.

🏅 SkillUSA Regional Medalist Spotlight Next up: Electrical Construction Wiring ⚡🔧 🥇 Gold Medalist: Gabriel Zarate 🎟️ State Qualifiers: Emmanuel Diaz & Matthew Lozano In the Electrical Construction Wiring competition, students complete a hands-on residential wiring project. Competitors interpret blueprints, install electrical components, follow National Electrical Code (NEC) standards, and demonstrate safety, accuracy, and troubleshooting skills under timed conditions. 🏅 SkillUSA Regional Medalist Spotlight Next up: TeamWorks 🔨🏗️ 🥈 Silver Medal Team: Aiden Moses, Jack Fortmeyer, Jedidiah Ayala and Marcos Zertuche! In the TeamWorks competition, teams of four students collaborate to build a construction project while demonstrating real-world jobsite skills. Competitors work from blueprints, develop an action plan, and apply skills like carpentry, roofing, electrical, plumbing, and masonry — all while being judged on teamwork, safety, organization, and professionalism.
