Becoming a CTEC Student
CTEC is open to all students who reside in Fresno County or a bordering county. Career technical education experience is not required to apply and CTEC does not have requirements for grade point average or extracurricular activities.
Applications become available annually on November 1st, with the first lottery scheduled for January 15th. A second lottery will be held in April after initial offers have been extended. CTEC accepts 120 students for each freshman class. If there are more applicants than available spots at CTEC, applicants will be placed in the student lottery for enrollment and students selected will be offered enrollment. Students not drawn from the lottery will be placed on a waiting-list and contacted when spots become available.
CTEC’s campus is always open for prospective students and their parents or guardians to visit and to obtain further information regarding our program. More formal opportunities will be available for families to visit CTEC and to discover why CTEC is a great place for students to learn in February.
