In an age of AI, what could be more valuable than teamwork? Congratulations to our SkillsUSA TeamWorks team & their instructor Mr. Rodrigues on their bronze finish at the California State Competition. Over two intense days, they took on a full-scale construction project from blueprint to build…developing an action plan, presenting as a unified team, and bringing it to life using skills across carpentry, roofing, electrical, plumbing, and masonry. But this competition isn’t just about what you build, it’s about how you build it.

Yesterday we celebrated our amazing administrative professionals with breakfast burritos (because they hold us all together) and cookies (because we’d crumbl without them)! Big thank you to our amazing team!

This Earth Day, we’re celebrating a future full of possibility. Every day, our students are learning how to build, design, and problem-solve with intention…preparing to create a real impact. The future is in good hands. 🌎

Spring Fest is less than two weeks away! Join us for some family fun! 🌸

Another Career Skills Challenge Shout Out! Not our typical lane, but at CTEC, we back our students in whatever they choose to pursue! Alekxy Gonzalez and Jacob Camacho stepped up to compete in Child Development at this year’s Challenge, representing their interests and taking on something new! Didn’t place this year, but gained experience and they’re already looking forward to next year. Great job, Titans!

We are happy to be offering another round of free sports physicals for ALL CTEC students on May 7th, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on campus. Please have your student(s) pick up a sports packet from the nurse’s office. These sports physicals are good for the next school year and your student(s) need a sports physical in order to participate in all sports at CTEC! Spots are limited! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to Nurse Murillo amurillo@fcoe.org.

Big news from SkillsUSA CA…👀 Congratulations to Khaylee Landeros on being elected to the State Officer Team! Selected by voting delegates at the state conference, she will represent California members throughout the year. We are SO proud and excited to see her lead at the next level.

Real skills. Real impact. CTEC students earn CPR certifications through their dual enrollment health course with Fresno City College—preparing them to respond when it matters most.

Still thinking about this one…what a week. CTEC students showed up at the 2026 State Conference and delivered! Bronze – Saif Saleem, Nathan Blodgett & Kayla Montenegro (Automated Manufacturing Technology) Bronze – Isaiah Hurtado-Munguia, Kailah Landeros, Teresa Cavazos (Chapter Display) Bronze – Aiden Moses, Jack Fortmeyer, Jedidiah Ayala, Marcos Zertuche (TeamWorks) Silver – Gabriel Lopez (Sheet Metal) And we’re not done yet… Daniel Pizano Ayala (Welding) and our Welding Fabrication team—Ethan Frazier, Henry Ballin, and Owen Kelley—are STATE CHAMPIONS and headed to nationals.

All that work you’ve been seeing? It led somewhere. SkillsUSA State results coming next.
