A recent Forbes article, “The College Degrees Considered Safest From AI Disruption,” placed civil, mechanical and electrical engineering among the top six—with construction management also making the list. These career paths connect directly to the hands-on technical skills, problem-solving and real-world experience CTEC students begin building in high school. The future of work is changing, and our students are preparing for what’s next!

We are excited to share what’s next for CTEC grad Levon Melkonyan (‘25)! Levon is headed to SpaceX as a Starship Build Engineering Intern! He shared that many of his interview questions focused on welding and fabrication—skills he began building at CTEC and strengthened while interning with Saf-T-Cab his senior year.
