
Jhosselyn Vargas Chavez was born in Acaponeta, Nayarit Mexico but grew up in Parlier, California. She graduated from Parlier High School in 2011 as part of the top ten students of her senior class. She went on to complete two years of college courses at Reedley college. She then transferred to Fresno Pacific University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Culture in 2015. After completing her BA, she was fortunate enough to be accepted into Fresno State’s Master’s program where she completed her degree in Master of Arts in Spanish in December 2017. In her free time, Jhosselyn likes listening to music, gardening, going to museums, learning new languages and learning about their cultures. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family members that consist of her mother, father, younger brother, her six cats and her dog.
